Brewery of the Lesse

The Brasserie de la Lesse is a Belgian craft brewery located in Éprave, in the municipality of Rochefort in the province of Namur. It is situated at the confluence of the valleys of the Lesse and the Lomme. It produces and bottles 100% organic beers. Brasserie de la Lesse was born like many microbreweries. Initially, a group of friends from the Buissonville parish, who were fond of good beers, would regularly meet for a drink. These convivial moments, tasting too little, led them to form a brotherhood: "The Brotherhood of Busson," whose purpose is the tasting and promotion of beer. Gradually, they transitioned from consumers to producers by making small batches itinerantly, once in one person's garage, another time in another's barn. From experience to experience, they marketed, at the scale of the village of Buissonville, a first beer brewed in pots and... a wheelbarrow: "Li Berwette."
