Classicist church of 1780; Remarkable location on a tree-lined height with a surrounding cemetery. Heavily damaged in 1940, and restored in 1958 by G. Daniëls, with the addition of a sacristy and baptistery. The plan describes a three-aisled nave with a built-in western tower, a fairly high transept of one bay and a choir of a straight bay with semicircular closing, flanked on the north side by a sacristy. South sacristy and baptistery are recent. Brick building with use of limestone for the plinths and window surrounds. West façade with slightly projecting risalite, trimmed with sintered brick; similar corner bands to the tower and two round-arched reverberation holes of limestone on each side. Restored portal after damage in 1940: round-arched doorway inscribed in a bluestone frame with ornamental keystone, flanked by pilasters of sintered brick with Ionic capitals and equipped with an entablature with triangular, bluestone pediment. Pseudo-basilical revolt. Brick façades on a fairly high, limestone plinth, and with round-arched windows in flat limestone frames. Gable roof (slates). Fully plastered interior with strict classicist curb. Vaulting of the nave by means of a barrel vault with belted arches, supported by a heavy circumferential entablature on Tuscan columns with a high, square base of limestone; ceilinged aisles with square casements between profiled mirrors that rhythm the bays and are cushioned by slightly projecting pilasters against the outer façade. Vaulting of the transept arms, such as those of the central nave. Flattened dome, supported by pillars, above the crossing. Barrel vault above the straight choir bays and radial vault on wide ribs above the apse. Mobile: Calvary, polychrome wood (19th century?); Saint Sebastian, Saint Odillia, polychrome wood (16th-17th centuries); Saint Gertrude, Saint Brigitta, white-painted wood, (16th century); Saint Aloysius, polychrome wood (circa 1800); Saint Anthony, polychrome wood (12th century); Processional Madonna (18th century?). Three baroque altars; pulpit, confessionals and portal, Louis XVI (fourth quarter of the 18th century); rood screen with organ.
