The Boulevard du Souverain is a Brussels boulevard that crosses the municipalities of Watermael-Boitsfort, Auderghem, and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, where it leads to the Avenue de Tervueren near the Mellaerts ponds. It runs alongside the Woluwe valley.
On February 24, 1887, Auderghem requested to be connected to the future Avenue de Tervueren by means of a large connector road to be established in the very heart of the Woluwe valley, which would also serve Boitsfort and, beyond, the municipality of Uccle. The project that was developed at the time did not fully meet the request and was deemed too costly.
