From March 2018 to early 2019, both platforms were raised and completely renovated. SNCB invested 1.2 million euros in this project. New shelters and energy-efficient LED lighting were also provided.
The station is connected to the Brussels Regional Express Network. Currently, an S-train stops 2 times an hour in each direction, alternating between an S3 train to Zottegem or Dendermonde, and an S10 train to Aalst or Dendermonde, supplemented by a few extra trains during rush hour on the route of the S3 between Dendermonde and Brussels-Midi. During the week, an IC train to Dendermonde stops once a day.
