The Freesias Alley is a Brussels street in the municipality of Schaerbeek that runs from the intersection of Avenue des Glycines, Rue Caporal Claes, and Drève Recteur Van Waeyenbergh to Avenue Gustave Latinis, passing through Chemin du Forgeron.
The freesia is a bulbous monocot plant native to South Africa, cultivated for its highly fragrant flowers, which come in various colors. It belongs to the Iridaceae family. Its name dates back to 1866 and was given by the botanist Ecklon in honor of a German physician named Freese.
