The neoclassical castle Borluut was remodeled around 1858 according to a design by the Ghent landscape architect J. Van Hamme-Sellier. The tower was added in 1914. On the site, we find a moat from the old lordship of Borluut, traces of which date back to the late Middle Ages. The accessible castle park has been designed with a characteristic serpentine pond with an arched bridge, artificial hills, winding walking paths, and a wide variety of exotic trees.
