The Hasselt beguinage is a beguinage of the so-called walled square type, located in the northeast within the Boulevard adjacent to the distillery Theunissen in Witte Nonnenstraat, Bonnefantenstraat, Zuivelmarkt, Badderijstraat, and the new Provincial Library. The beguinage currently consists of a V-shaped row of thirteen houses with a forecourt located around a square arranged as a garden of 60 ares, in which the ruins of the former beguinage church have been preserved. The current beguinage is the third beguinage in history.
