At the end of an asphalted side road located water mill, more specifically grain mill on the Dommel, formerly a ban mill, in 1338 so-called Yvits moelen. On August 10, 1435, lease by Jan II van der Marck, lord of Peer from 1425 to 1464, to the brothers Hendrik and Bartholomeus Meuws. The Meuws brothers promise to grind to the best of their knowledge, to take no more than the usual milling wage and to keep the mill in good condition. The people of the Pears had to grind at this mill or at that of Ellikom and they also had to maintain the stream and the dikes. It could not be ascertained whether this mill ever functioned as a fulling mill. The former watercourse and the waterwheel that was once mounted against a cemented substructure, still visible on an old postcard sent on 15 April 1926, have disappeared since 1963. The Ferraris map (1771-77) shows an elongated watermill perpendicular to the Dommel, with a parallel element on the other side of the side road. Two other separate parallel elongated elements, located on either side of the Dommel, may also have been part of the whole at the time. In the Atlas of the Neighbourhood Roads (1845) the watermill also appears, with an element indicated at right angles on the other side of the side road, as in the current situation.
