The menhir on the Mechelen Heath is located in the Hoge Kempen National Park, which opened in 2006 on the Mechelen Heath west of Maasmechelen, near the border with the Netherlands, in the province of Limburg in Belgium. About 40 meters to the south are two more larger stones. They probably come from a former quarry. Nearby is a signposted hiking trail of the Hoge Kempen National Park.
