Hamont is a railway station on line 19 in the municipality of Hamont-Achel. The border station, located on the Iron Rhine, was closed to passenger traffic in 1957. On 6 April 2014, the station was reopened by SNCB. In June 2009, SNCB announced its intention to resume trains to and from Hamont station. Since 6 April 2014, a number of SNCB trains have been running daily to Hamont. To this end, a new platform was constructed, as well as a fallback track.
