Le Touquet is a hamlet in Waasten, a district of the Belgian municipality of Komen-Waasten. The hamlet is located more than four kilometers southwest of the center of Waasten and is only half a kilometer from the center of the French Frelinghien. The Leie river forms the national border there. One and a half kilometers north of Le Touquet are the Waasten hamlets Le Gheer and Pont-Rouge, a few kilometers to the west is the Ploegsteert hamlet Le Bizet.
The name Le Touquet means "little corner." On the Ferraris map from the 1770s, the place is already shown as the hamlet of Touquet. In the last decades of the 19th century, a railway line from Komen to the French Armentières was opened, which ran along Le Touquet (railway line 67).
During World War I, Le Touquet was close to the front line. By the mid-20th century, the railway line was dismantled. During the establishment of the Language Border, Le Touquet was transferred in the 1960s as part of Waasten from the province of West Flanders to the Walloon province of Hainaut.
