The village of Jezus-Eik was built in the middle of the forest as a place of pilgrimage. Today, numerous catering establishments (hotels, restaurants and cafés) provide services to visitors to the forest and the name of the community center 'de Bosuil' (the Tawny Owl) refers to the link between the village and the forest. A large attractive recreational area has already been developed and the masterplan for Jezus-Eik will further strengthen this link in the future.
