In Sint-Martens-Lierde, a district of Lierde, you will find the remnants of the Carthusian priory that rose from the ground here between 1329 and 1352. You can still see the prior's house, the impressive entrance gate, the guest quarters, the procurator's residence, the barn, and a section of the surrounding wall. The abbey church now serves as a parish church. Very good acoustics, picturesque location.
