Through city brewery De Koninck, we head to Victor Jacobslei with the beautiful residential care center Sint-Maria. There we cross the Singel via the bike and pedestrian bridge. At the bottom of the stairs, we arrive in Wolvenberg. This nature reserve is located on the remnants of the former city wall and is the only one located in the city center. Although the reserve is not very large, it is an important place for biodiversity. It features a mix of forests, meadows, and a willow swamp where aquatic plants and amphibians thrive. Birds of prey, such as the sparrowhawk and the hobby, even breed there. The area is definitely worth a stroll. At the end, we return to our starting point: Antwerp-Berchem station.
