The Flemish Nature Reserve De Westhoek was in 1957 the very first Flemish nature area to receive the status of 'state nature reserve.' This recognition came because it formed and still forms the largest contiguous dune mass along our coast. You will find sea strip dunes, walking dunes, and parabolic dunes, as well as gray and blonde dunes. More information can be found along the way, or through the website below:
