The inside of this cooling tower was used in the film "The Prime Minister", a 2016 Belgian thriller directed by Erik Van Looy and starring Koen De Bouw. Van Looy co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Carl Joos. The Belgian Prime Minister (Koen De Bouw) is on his way to an important meeting when he is kidnapped by an armed gang. Hi is brought here where he learns from the hostage-takers that not only he, but also his wife and children are being held captive.
