Along the flowing water of the streams you can sometimes, with some luck, see a blue flash flying by. That's the kingfisher! It feeds on small fish such as sticklebacks and roach. In the hollow roots of fallen trees or the steep banks of the streams he makes his nest. So you see: everything in nature has its function. Other, slightly slower blue-colored kites are the meadow brook damselflies. These damselflies can be found in the vicinity of clear running water. If the water quality is doing well, then the meadow damselfly is doing all the better!
