Every season has its charms, but spring is special in this area because of its multitude of spring plants! Primroses, celandine, muskwort and the occasional duckberry betray the old forest soils. The badger, adopted species of the municipality of Hoeselt, feels very much at home in this region. This black-and-white striped panda from the Low Countries can be found in the valley, but due to traffic victims of the E313 and other dangerous roads, the castles are not permanently inhabited. For the time being, he only comes as a wanderer among the flowers and sunken roads.
