The Sint-Catharinakerk in Humelgem (Steenokkerzeel) dates back to the 10th century. The church was raised and enlarged with a Romanesque choir and nave around 1225. At the beginning of the 14th century a new choir was built in Gothic style. The north aisle is from 1559, the north transept from 1651. The church has been protected as a monument since 1937.
