If you bike or walk along the Rue de Valenciennes, 322 meters beneath your feet are the geological layers where fossils of about 35 iguanodons have been found. The entrance to the shaft is located in the garden of a house on Rue des Iguanodons. However, this mine shaft runs horizontally southward, bringing you closer to the Rue de Valenciennes. Sandra Cordier is fascinated by the discovery of iguanodons in 1878. She embarks on a search for the story behind the skeletons. Through the link More information, you can listen to an interview with Sandra Cordier as part of the Interne Keuken show.
