Vloethemveld is a former military domain and prisoner of war camp located in Zedelgem. It is currently a protected nature reserve and Natura 2000 Habitats Directive area. The Vloethemveld is also in the inventory of immovable heritage. The woods of what is now Vloethemveld were donated to St. John's Hospital by the Count of Flanders in 1296. The hospital used the proceeds of meadow rental and timber extraction for their operations.
