The garden at the parsonage is closed off from the street with a mixed hedge, mainly consisting of sharp holly with an admixture of a, whether naturally enriched or not, assortment of hornbeam, hazel, ash, privet, and elder. The originally evergreen hedge serves the purpose of preventing onlookers and, with the use of sharp holly, preventing intrusion. On the military topographic map of 1870, a hedged plot is already depicted at this location. At that time, the plot was used as an orchard and yard.
