Historical farm known as "Heerlijkheid van Marrem," the center of the eponymous lordship and a subordinate holding of the lordship of Ten Eeckhoutte of Geluwe. Gate building, barn, and stable wing protected as a monument by M.B. of June 3, 2005. The oldest mentions would date back to 1402 when the estate was purchased by the Van der Gracht family. At the beginning of the 15th century, the estate consisted of farm buildings, with land, forest, and meadows extending to the Stierebeek. From 1758 to 1796, the farm was owned by the Guldenberg Abbey. It is presumed that the farm was renovated in 1767 at the request of Abbess Augustina Peutermans; cf. pediment of the gate building. Farm identified on the Ferraris map (1770-1778) as a farm with loose components and circular rampart. On the Atlas der Buurtwegen (1841) indicated as "Goed Marrem" and with double rampart, a round one for the residence that was presumably located on a mound and a rectangular rampart around the courtyard containing the utility buildings. This arrangement is also represented on an early cadastral plan. Farm with semi-closed arrangement with the heavily renovated and newly extended residence to the north, barn possibly from 1929 (see cadastral data) with incorporated carriage house to the west, and 18th-century double cross-barn and 18th-century access gate with adjoining stable wing to the east. To the north, part of the rampart has been preserved as indicated by pollarded willows. In 1943, part of the rampart disappeared. To the north of the farm flows the Stierebeek. Anchored brick components under overhanging tile gable roofs. Well-preserved double cross-barn with gables, weaving patterns, and owl hole. Arched gate openings characterized by natural stone corner blocks. Stable wing and gate building located on the street. Higher built gate building crowned by a triangular pediment with a natural stone coat of arms of Abbess Augustina Peuterman (see pediment west gate Guldenberg Abbey); side walls with gables and weaving patterns. Arched gate with klinket. Flanking stable wings also with gables and weaving patterns. Left side wall with weathered natural stone date stone. Vaulting by barrel vaults. The tiles were recently removed.
