According to the literature and current owner, this house can be seen in the upper left corner on the painting "The parable of the blind" by Pieter Bruegel the Elder (+/- 1568). Nevertheless, this is not certain. The painting shows a house with stepped gables. This image corresponds with the north facade of the house. The only difference is that there was a roof window on the drawing above the second bay. That window is no longer present.
