Panhof or Pannenhof, probably hof "farm" in which the (brewing) pan or brewing kettle was located. Formerly a farm and brewery of the monks of the Abbey of Floreffe. Indicated on the Ferraris map (1771-77) as an elongated farm. In the Atlas of the Neighbourhood Roads (1845) The farm is mentioned and appears as a ditto building with a narrow extension at the back to the west and a small, quasi square service building to the east.
