* Stuiverstraat no. 599. Farm "De Lange Schuure", located in the southern tip of the Sint-Catharinapolder, which was drained in 1744-1749, surrounded by permanent meadows. The farmhouse refers with its name to the farmhouse, which is a distinctly long-gable type, with the incorporation of a stable and barn. The name is already mentioned in a text from 1908. Farm protected as a monument with the surrounding grassland plots as a village view, by M.B. of 26/05/05. The historical maps show that since the 18th and beginning of the 19th century, little has changed in the farm. Farm "De Lange Schuure" is indicated on maps of 1749 and 1755 on which the Sint-Catharinapolder is depicted. The farm is therefore built immediately after the land reclamation as a reclamation farm. Characteristic of this is its location at the edge of the polder (Stuiverstraat) and the rectangular moat of the yard, as protection against possible flooding. On the map of 1749 the farm is schematically indicated by one volume; The map of 1755 shows two volumes in the walled yard. The Ferraris map (1771-1777) omits the ramparts, the elongated volumes are situated at right angles to each other. 19th-century maps provide more details. The Primitive Land Registry Plan (1835) and the Atlas der Buurtwegen (1843) show the farm as an elongated L-shaped ensemble with a small rectangular building to the east of it. The map of 1835 shows that within the L-shaped main volume, the perpendicular part (wagon house/stable) is separate from the elongated part, which is divided into farmhouse/stable and barn part. In 1864 a horse mill was built at the stable/wagon house (north side), which was demolished in 1895. In 1958, the small volume in the yard was demolished; Two extensions are made to the main volumes, which have since been removed. Recently, the farm was transformed into a petting zoo, with some modern modifications being made. The farm is surrounded by meadows and is accessible by an asphalted driveway from the Stuiverstraat. In the surrounding grasslands, remnants of lanes, canals and probably a cattle watering hole are recognizable. To the north of the farm is a rectangular courtyard, to the south a well. Whitewashed brick construction on pecked plinth under tiled gable roofs with short overhanging eaves including hanging gutter. It is a rather unique, well-preserved complex, which has only been modified to a limited extent since its inception. It is an 18th-century farmhouse of the long gable type with characteristic house-stable-barn construction, with an additional transverse stable wing with wagon house. The farmhouse can be characterized as prosperous by its size and finish. The long south wing is conceived as a farmhouse of the elongated type with a farmhouse and adjoining stable and barn. Farmhouse, stable and part of the barn are mid-18th-century; The barn was extended at the beginning of the 19th century. Farmhouse of two bays + two upstairs bays + one door bay that only contains a staircase to the attic above the upstairs room; two west bays raised by one storey. Rectangular renewed wall openings; arched cellar openings with wooden bars and interior hatch. Cellar with long barrel vault of whitewashed brick; Plug-in caps at the level of the cellar windows. Under the same continuous roof, stable of three bays, one of which is wide with wide trough vaults on wooden beams, typical of the early period of the trough vaults. Rectangular wall openings; lower and upper doors. Transverse barn of five bays + four slightly younger bays. Rectangular barn gates under gutter, two light slots. Oldest part with preserved hood with double braced leader. The roof above the next four bays has a double-braced leader and contains inscriptions and dates, including "1808". To the east of the yard; Stable and carriage house under one roof, perpendicular to the farmhouse. Stable of five bays with rectangular, partly preserved wall openings. Side gable with basket-arched gate and loading door. Wider wagon house with wide gate under the roof, partly recently connected to the farmhouse; East bay under lame gable roof.
