"Castle ter Meiren", named after the watery, marshy area, see the Ferraris map (circa 1775). Eclectic country house with elements derived from the neo-Flemish Renaissance and neoclassicism, built circa 1935, plan dated 2/1/1935; west of it lies an outbuilding from circa 1937; constructed according to the design of architect Jean Winders (Brussels) as a hunting lodge for John Lijsen, son of J.C. Lijsen (numbers 54-56).
