Hotel Beau Séjour

Located on the old canal arm. Built at the beginning of the 20th century by the former bridge keeper H. Houben. It became a magnet for the many French-speaking tourists. Eclectic style. L-shaped corner house of 5+3 bays and a chamfered corner bay, and three storeys under mansard roof (mechanical tiles and artificial slates), equipped with dormer windows. Brick building, painted on the ground floor. The fourth bay on the side of the Dorpsstraat has been raised as a skylight, previously equipped with a bell gable. At the chamfered corner was a now-vanished wooden bay window spanning the entire height of the building, crowned with a turret.
