Castle built in 1847 by architect François Coppens (Brussels). Located in a large park with a pond and constructed in a neoclassical and neo-Renaissance style on behalf of Baron August Pycke de Peteghem, reportedly funded by the inheritance of Clemmen (+ 1841) from Ghent. Situated approximately 300 meters from "'t Oud Kasteel" (see Scheldestraat number 5). The surrounding estate was partially developed as a golf course for the "Golf and Country Club" before 1980, with expansions in the early 1990s.
