The Broekkant nature zone is located along both banks of the Warmbeek and is part of the Pastoorswal project. The aim of this project is to increase the natural value of the area by supplying calcareous canal water via a supply ditch. The planting in the area is intended to form a kind of ecological corridor for flora and fauna. The Pastoorswal (Broekkant) is also the starting point of the Trage Weg walk De Broekkant. This beautiful 3.7 km walk along field roads is a must for any nature lover.
