Nature Reserve De Kevie is one of the most important nature areas of Haspengouw due to its valuable flora, fauna, and location in the Jeker Valley. More than 300 plant species can be found there, including orchids, water violet, and arrowhead. Among the animal species, we mention breeding birds, several fish, and amphibians. The Kevie is one of the three components of the Landscape Park of the Eastern Jeker. The other two mainly consist of reed marshes and are known as Groot Meers and Hardel.
