Housed in the recently restored, primarily 17th-century, monastery complex and the Gasthuiskapel with its associated hospital room from 1479, this museum guarantees a visit that will undoubtedly evoke memories for a long time to come.
Using the most modern multimedia techniques, you get to know the daily life in the old almshouse throughout the centuries in an engaging and educational way, the workings of the Gasthuis Sisters who have been responsible for caring for the sick since 1552, along with family nursing and the Dimpna legend. A visit to the well-secured treasure chamber forms the highlight of every visit.
