The siege of Tournai took place between October and November 1521, during the Italian War of 1521-1526. An imperial army, which had previously occupied the towns of Mouzon on August 20 and Ardres on September 9, besieged the city of Tournai, which was captured from the French at the end of November, and from then on that city would remain a possession of the Habsburgs until Belgium's independence.
