Even before 1300 there was a water mill on this site. Around 1680, the Demer was moved and this mill powered both a full mill and a grist mill. In 1761 the buildings were renovated and later several renovations took place. In 1840 the mill was partly made of wood, partly of stone and the flow rate was such that the mill functioned very profitably. In the end, the mill was only used as a grist mill.
