The Parish Church of Our Lady is a 13th-century Gothic church in Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Lombeek and is famous for its Marian altarpiece.
The church was dependent on the abbey of Nivelles. Since the 13th century, Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Lombeek has been an important place of pilgrimage. In the late Middle Ages it would become even more important than those of Halle and Alsemberg. Due to the wars and raids of the second half of the 17th century, Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Lombeek was almost completely destroyed and the pilgrimage site lost much of its appeal. In the church there are also some relics of Saint Hubert, which were donated to the parish by the lord of Villers-Perwin in the 17th century. As a result, on 3 November, the feast day of Saint Hubert, thousands of people went to Lombeek with their pets. There, the animals were then branded as a rabies cure.
