Xhout-si-Plout is a Belgian hamlet in the municipality of Manhay located in the northern part of the province of Luxembourg.
Tradition has it that the hamlet once had several forges powered by the local stream, which had an irregular flow depending on whether it was raining or not. The Walloon expression Hoûte-s'i-Ploût was attributed to the master of a forge to his worker to predict the flow of the stream and thus operate his forge. This same expression would also refer to the other hamlet of Houte-Si-Plou in the municipality of Neupré in the province of Liège.
