Landscapes, forests, and castles. Nothing suggests that this beautiful forest in Beernem was a desolate heathland until the 18th century. Count Henri de Meeus had a castle built there a century later and developed the rugged 'Bulnas Campas'. In 1904, the estate came into the possession of the noble Lippens family, who had the surrounding castle park laid out. Since 1970, this has been a provincial domain (327 ha).
