The Wildermolen was placed at this location in 1802 but actually originated from Elingen.
This mill is a "post mill" where the entire structure rotates on a 'central post'.
In 1993, the Wildermolen was made fully operational by the miller Roland Wieme.
It was the then miller Adriaan D'Hauwer who bought the mill in 1801. The mill has been a classified monument since 1973 and belongs to the City of Ninove.
