This park dates back to the Middle Ages, when wealthy merchants and noble families had their summer residences here. In 1912, Borgerhout purchased the estate and turned it into a public park. Only the Cogelspavilion still reminds us of the castle that once stood here. Today, Te Boelaarpark is a beloved place to walk, enjoy the sun, or let the children play in the playground or splash fountain. Around the park, life bustles with cafés and bars like Bar Brul, Café José, Foxy, François, and Bowie. Thus, Te Boelaarpark combines the best of both worlds: tranquility in the greenery, with the vibrancy of Borgerhout.
