Alt-Hoeselt is a church village in the Belgian municipality of Hoeselt. In 2008, Alt-Hoeselt had 784 inhabitants. Alt-Hoeselt is an independent parish within the diocese of Hasselt.
The oldest written mention of Alt-Hoeselt dates back to the year 965. Some local historians believe that Alt-Hoeselt is older than the village of Hoeselt, although it has always been administratively part of it. In ecclesiastical terms, Alt-Hoeselt has been an independent parish for centuries, although the patronage rights were held by the St. Stephen's Parish of Hoeselt. The tithe rights were in the hands of the Our Lady Chapter in Huy.
