Sente is a village and parish located on the place where the borders of the municipalities of Lendelede, Kuurne and Heule meet. The place is named after Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
The core originated at the intersection of the old kortrijk - Roeselare connecting road with the road to Heule. In 1870 the parish was recognized. The neo-Romanesque St. Catherine's Church from 1879 stands on the territory of Kuurne, the school mainly on Lendelede and most of the village is on the territory of Heule. This creates a number of unique problems, such as the church factory that falls under three congregations.
