L'Escaillère is a village in the Belgian province of Hainaut and a district of the Walloon city of Chimay. The place is located in the Hainaut Ardennes and has the highest point in Hainaut at 365 meters within its territory. L'Escaillère was separated as an independent municipality from the municipality of Baileux in 1886. During the municipal reorganization of 1977, it became a district of Chimay.
