The Coliseum is a concert hall located in the Ville-Basse district in rue de Marchienne in Charleroi. It was built in 1921 by the architect Joseph André for the company La Cornillière. With the Coliseum in Charleroi, the company will build the Coliseum in Liège and Verviers.
In 1920, the company La Cornillère asked the architect Jean Lejaer to build three theatres called Coliseum. In Liège, Verviers and Charleroi. Jean Lejaer gave more importance to the Liège projects and the Charleroi Coliseum was taken over and completed by Joseph André.
