Chapel of the Old Lane

Description

Sus van Gils, a local farmer, drove his horse and cart to his fields one day in 1932. As he entered his field, he tumbled off his cart. He fell right in front of the wheel and feared being run over. Miraculously, the horse stopped and Sus was unharmed.
Out of gratitude, he built the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes.
The Leestmans sisters found this place ideal for sitting down. They offered, along with some money, a note that read:
"A franc for a bank of a plank"
Now the chapel is maintained by the municipality.
