The Schellebelle ferry is a highlight of the route and has a long history. As early as the 13th century, there was talk of a crossing of the Scheldt to connect the village to the lakes. In the 1950s, the wooden raft was replaced by an iron barge, which was replaced by a motorized version in the 1970s. The old rowing boat has found its place on the Scheldt dike. To call the ferry, simply ring the bell.
