War memorial at Place du Roi Albert

It is a memorial in honor of King Albert I, commander-in-chief of the Belgian Army during World War I, and the Fire Crossers . This title was given to veterans who had fought at the front "under fire" .

This place used to be a park with a kiosk, very well located on the Maas. The latter remains of course, because the Maas cannot simply be moved.
