Le Trou de la Barette is located near the Écaussinnes station. This is the most famous and visible quarry pit.
The site used to have the quarries of Mayeurmont, which brought together twelve activities. These quarries were exploited in the 15th century.
At that time, we exploited the surface of the land, as there are many springs in the region and we quickly reached water masses.
