This stone stele is dedicated to King Albert.
It reads: "On the summit where he often sojourned, King Albert I stood for a long time in the autumn of 1933. On his last solitary journey into the heart of our forests".
King Albert I, born on April 8, 1875, was the 3rd King of the Belgians. He reigned from December 23, 1909 to February 17, 1934. On that date, he died in a climbing accident in Marche-les-Dames.
