Rue de Béhogne in Rochefort is home to the Town Hall , an example of eclecticism (mixing different architectural styles in a graceful ensemble).
It was built in 1862 in the midst of a socio-economic upheaval. The building is very original. Of various neo-styles , it has a grand staircase on the outside and a staircase flanked by a tower somewhat resembling the bell towers of the past . The shield is represented by the coat of arms of the House of Walcourt, lords of Rochefort in the 12th and 13th centuries .
The war memorial in front of the town hall was erected to commemorate the victims of both world wars.
