The Genk football stadium is named after the sponsor (Crisalt Arena, Luminus Arena, Cegeka Arena, ...).
With 23,718 seats, it is the fourth largest stadium in Belgium. Only the King Baudouin Stadium, the Jan Breydel Stadium of Cercle Brugge and Club Brugge and the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium of Standard Liège are larger. If Belgium, together with the Netherlands, had succeeded in winning the World Cup (which was not the case), the Cegeka Arena would be one of the playing stadiums. The capacity would then be expanded to 40 to 45,000 spectators.
The hybrid turf since July 2018 is equipped for all weather conditions: there is a sprinkler system and a drainage system. The Genk field is also equipped with field heating.
